We write it as code, built around how your team already works, and we make the smallest thing that solves the problem. If you want it to do more, we scope that change and quote it before any work starts.

What happens after you book?

  1. 20-minute call

    Walk us through the workaround or the business need behind it. We tell you the best way forward — a Link, a Build, or another of our offers if one fits better.

  2. Scoping

    If the call points to a real project, we book time with you and the people who run the process, walking through how it works and the systems it touches. That’s half a day or a day for a Link, and a day or more for a Build, at $750 a half day, taken off the price if you move ahead with the project. The written scope and a fixed price usually follow within a couple of days. Big projects are split into phases, each priced before it starts.

  3. Work in the open

    Real progress to review every couple of weeks. Swapping one piece of work for another of the same size is free; anything that adds work gets a quote first.

  4. Handover

    A Link usually takes 2–6 weeks, a Build 10–20. What we build for you is yours, documented, with a 30- or 60-day fix window.

How long does a Custom Solution take?

A Link usually takes two to six weeks and a Build ten to twenty, though it depends on how complex it is: how many people use it, how many systems it touches, and how much has to be written rather than configured. You see something working every couple of weeks and can change direction while changing is still cheap.

Does it have to be a new app?

No. Often the right answer is a Link: connecting tools you already pay for, or changing a process and automating one step of it.

Do we need a retainer to keep it running?

No. Once it’s live it runs on its own. If something breaks because a system it connects to changed, finding and fixing it starts at $750. If you want it to do more, that’s a quoted change. MyDataAnalyst is there if you want it: Maintenance fixes faults in what we built, and On-Call answers the questions the numbers raise.

Do we own what you make?

Yes, once it’s paid for: the code, the configuration, and the documentation we write for you. Parts of it run on tools we’ve built up over many projects. Those stay ours, and you get a permanent license to use and change them. Keep us on for what comes next, or don’t.
